Today, Care to Change joins people around the world in recognising International Day of People with Disability. This day promotes understanding, raises awareness and celebrates the contributions, strengths and leadership of people with disability.
The 2025 theme is “Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress.” It is a reminder that real progress is only possible when everyone has the opportunity to participate, contribute and thrive.
Why this day matters
International Day of People with Disability is more than a date on the calendar. It is a global call to action that asks every one of us to:
- Champion accessibility and inclusion
- Reduce barriers that limit participation
- Strengthen rights, dignity and equal opportunity
- Celebrate diversity in all its forms
At Care to Change, these values are at the heart of everything we do. Inclusive communities do not just happen. They are created through conscious and consistent action in everyday life.
What this means at Care to Change
International Day of People with Disability reflects everything we stand for. Our commitment to compassion, respect, responsibility, quality, openness, honesty and transparency guides the way we support individuals of all abilities.
This day encourages us to keep creating environments where people feel valued, understood and empowered. It strengthens our resolve to champion inclusion in every interaction, every service and every choice we support.
