Walk for Awareness 2025: Care to Change Steps Up for Mental Health

Oct 17, 2025

On October the 11th 2025, Care to Change team and participants laced up their walking shoes and took part in the Walk for Awareness, and what an incredible day it was!

We’re thrilled to share that through everyone’s generosity and support, we raised $2000 in support of this worthy cause, helping to promote greater awareness and care to mental health within our community.

A special thank you goes to Kerri-Anne Dooley MP, Member for Redcliffe, for joining us on the day and sending us off with an inspiring message about the importance of checking in with ourselves and others.

Her words of encouragement set the tone for what was an uplifting and memorable event.

When we raise awareness, we remind people that it’s okay to not be okay, and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

In true Care to Change spirit, our support stretched well beyond Queensland. Some of our dedicated team members completed the walk from Thailand, showing that no matter where we are in the world, we can all take steps to support mental health awareness.

To everyone who participated, cheered or supported from afar, thank you!

The atmosphere on the day was filled with positivity, encouragement, and a genuine sense of community.

At Care to Change, we believe that mental health is everyone’s business.

Whether its taking time to check in with a friend, going for a walk to clear your head, or participating in community events, every small act makes an impact.
