Join a regular group at our Morayfield hub or out in the community. Cooking, art, games, gardening, a coffee run. You meet the same faces each week and build real friendships.

Prefer your own pace? A support worker goes with you, one to one, to the places you want to reach. They drive, they help, and they step back as your confidence grows.

Try something new and practise the everyday skills that build independence. Catching the bus, handling money at the shops, cooking a meal, joining a club.

Leaving school, or after support over the school holidays? You can join our existing community groups and outings. Ask us about joining in.

We run community participation and community access right across our service area: Greater Brisbane, urban Logan, the Redlands, the Moreton Bay region and the southern Sunshine Coast from Caloundra to Mooloolaba and Buderim. Our group day programs run from a dedicated community space in Morayfield, which participants make their own way to. For one-to-one community access, your support worker can drive you to and from your outings. Not sure we reach you? Ask us.

It is NDIS-funded support to take part in social and community life. A support worker helps you join group activities or get out one to one, from a cooking class to a footy game to a coffee with mates. It is sometimes called community access. The aim is to feel connected and build your confidence, on your own terms.

Anyone with NDIS funding for social and community participation can use them, and you do not need a specific diagnosis to take part. We cannot promise what your plan will fund, but we can look at your funding with you and explain what fits. The easiest way to check is to get in touch and tell us your goals.

For one-to-one community access, yes. Your support worker can drive you to and from your outings and appointments. Transport may be charged to your NDIS plan, so we confirm how it is funded with you first. For our group day programs at the Morayfield community space, participants make their own way there and home.

Community participation is paid from the part of your NDIS plan set aside for social and community access. Budget names change as the NDIS reforms, so the simplest answer is this. If your plan funds help to join in community life, it usually covers these supports. We invoice the NDIS for approved supports, so there is no out-of-pocket cost, and we never take a cent from your Disability Support Pension. Your pension stays yours.

Whatever matters to you. People we support head to the gym and the pool, join art and music groups, take cooking classes, and get to local clubs and community events. If there is something you have always wanted to try, tell us and we will work out how to support it. Volunteering is popular too, and a worker can help you find a role and settle in if that is a goal of yours.

Not as a separate program at the moment. Young people leaving school, and people who want support over the school holidays, are welcome to join our existing community participation groups and outings. Ask us what is running near you and we will let you know what you can join.
