The homes we run

Our homes are ordinary houses in ordinary streets, set up so people with disability can live well with the right support. Most are shared by two or three people, each with their own room and a say in how the household runs. A support team works across the home through the day, and in some homes overnight, depending on what residents need.

The house and the support are two separate things. You live in the home as a lodger: you pay a lodging fee for your room and your share of the household bills, which we invoice to you. Your NDIS plan funds the support that comes with the home, through supported independent living. We are an NDIS-registered provider, and our workers are trained and screened members of our own team, not gig-platform fill-ins.

What a home with us looks like

A real home, not a facility

Houses in the community, not an institution. Your own room, shared living spaces, and a household that feels like a home.

Support on hand

Workers help with cooking, medication, personal care and the running of the house. How much support a home offers depends on the residents’ plans, so ask us what a particular home runs.

A team you get to know

The same trained, screened workers, many with lived disability experience, and where it helps a worker who speaks your language. Familiar faces, not a roster of strangers.

Close to what matters

We look for homes near transport, shops and services, so getting to an appointment, a job or the local centre is realistic, with a worker alongside while you build the confidence to do it on your own.

Supported accommodation right across our service area

Our homes are spread across the areas we serve: Greater Brisbane, urban Logan, the Redlands, Moreton Bay and the southern Sunshine Coast. We do not run them out of a single office; the support is delivered wherever you live. Tell us where you want to live and we will tell you honestly what we have, or look across every area we support to find something that fits.

Current homes and availability

Availability changes from month to month, and supply is genuinely limited. We match a person to a home based on the support they need and the mix of people already living there, so a place has to be a good fit both ways. There is no waitlist and no held room, and we will not promise a vacancy we do not have. What we can do is talk through what you are looking for and tell you plainly whether we have something now or something coming up.

Even when there is nothing open in one area, we look across everywhere we support to find a place that fits. If you want to be considered as homes come up, the next step is to enquire and tell us what you need.

How the support works

A home with us comes with SIL, the daily rostered support that helps you live more independently. SIL covers the workers, the morning routine, the medication, the help with cooking and getting out. To understand the support model in detail, read our supported independent living page. For the everyday personal care and in-home help that sits alongside it, see daily living support. If you are still working out your housing options, a support coordinator can help you weigh them up.

Frequently asked questions

It is a home with disability support built in. You live in a house in the community, usually sharing with one or two others, with a support team on hand to help you run your day. The home and the support are funded separately: you live there as a lodger and pay a lodging fee, and your NDIS plan funds the support through SIL.

Sometimes. Availability moves month to month across the areas we serve. We match people to a home as a suitable place opens up, so the first step is to enquire and tell us what you need. Even when nothing is open near you, we look across everywhere we support to find a place that fits, and we will not park you on a waitlist that goes nowhere.

The home is the house you live in as a lodger. The support is the funded help that comes with it, through supported independent living. We provide the support and run the homes. You pay a lodging fee for your room and your invoiced share of the bills, not a standard tenancy.

No. Specialist Disability Accommodation, or SDA, is funding for purpose-built or specially modified housing for people with high or complex needs. We do not build, own or fund SDA housing. We provide the SIL support inside a home, and a support coordinator can help you look at SDA if that is what you need.

Your NDIS plan funds the support that comes with the home, not your lodging fee. You pay a lodging fee for your room and your invoiced share of the everyday bills, usually with help from your Disability Support Pension (and Commonwealth Rent Assistance if you’re eligible). We never deduct from your Disability Support Pension. Your pension stays yours.
